ANNUAL BOOK FAIR -2020

A Two Day Annual Book Fair -2020 was organised by State Institute of Education Jammu under the aegis of Directorate of School Education Jammu at Teacher Auditorium, Gandhi Nagar Jammu supervised by Sh J.K.Sudan Joint Director (trgs)/ Principal, SIE Jammu.

Mr. Hirdesh Kumar Singh, IAS, Commissioner/ Secretary to Government, School Education Department J&K who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, inaugurated the Book Fair. He emphasised on the importance of reading books and stressed to inculcate the habit of reading books amongst the children.

While Ms Anuradha Gupta KAS Director School Education Jammu and Sh Arun Mahas KAS State Project Director Samagara J&K were Guests of Honour on the occasion.

Ms Anuradha Gupta, Director School Education Jammu also interacted with the subject-experts and stressed upon the need to update the knowledge of teachers regarding different pedagogical approaches as well as enrichment of content and expressed that such type of fair provide a right kind of platform to the teachers and learners.

The vibrant stalls with a lot of books on 30 different disciplines and general books ranging from textbooks, reference books , books on politics, religion, literature and science were also displayed in the fair.

A total of 25 publishers/ booksellers exhibited the valuable books on the stalls and the committees of various subject experts were framed to scrutinize these books.

For the very first time, the Publication Division of NCERT New Delhi along with their books also participated in the Book Fair.

After the critical analysis of books in different stalls, the books selected will be recommended for enriching libraries and encourage reading appetite in young learners.

Students also visited the fair and showed keen interest in different books exhibited on stalls

Various dignitaries from Education Department including Chief Accounts Officer, DSEJ, CEOs, DIET Principals, ZEOs, various Head of Institutions and academicians attended the fair.

A Two Day Annual book fair 2018-19 was organised by State Institute of Education Jammu in collaboration with Directorate of School Education Jammu at Teacher Auditorium, Gandhinagar Jammu under the overall supervision of Sh J.K.Sudan Joint Director (trgs)/ Principal, SIE Jammu.

The fair was inaugurated by *Ms Anuradha Gupta KAS Director School Education Jammu* , Chief Guest on the occasion, who emphasised on importance of reading books and stressed to inculcate the habit of reading books amongst the children.

5 day Workshop of Master Trainers in Learning Outcomes, Science and Math Kits organised by SIE Jammu sponsored by Directorate of Samagra Shiksha J&K

A 05 day Workshop of Master Trainers in Learning Outcomes, Science and Math Kits organised by SIE Jammu and sponsored by Directorate of Samagra Shiksha J&K was inaugurated on 13.08.2018 under the overall supervision of Sh J.K.Sudan Joint Director (Trgs)/Principal, SIE Jammu.

The main objective of this training programme was to equip the participants with the latest pedagogical skills based on learning outcomes at Elementary Level with orientation about Science and Maths Kits. The workshop is aimed at training a target of 60 masters/teachers/lecturers from all districts of Jammu Division.

The focus of workshop is mainly on learning outcomes rather than content which has been defined by NCERT New Delhi.

The inauguration session was chaired by Mr J.K. Sudan Joit Director (trgs)/Principal SIE Jammu along with Mr K.L.Parihar FA SIE Jammu & Sh Kaka Ji Pandita, State Co-ordinator Samagra Siksha J&K who graced the occasion with their valuable guidance and exhorted upon the participants to apply the learnt skills in actual classroom transaction. Mr Kuldeep Kumar, Research Officer, SIE Jammu co-ordinated the programme.

Among others who were present at the inauguration function include Mohinder Singh, Kulwant Kour, Surinder Kumar FAs and Nand Kishor +2 Principal of SIE Jammu.

Two Days Divisional Level Consultative Workshop on PINDICS

Two Days Divisional Level Consultative Workshop on PINDICS organized by Survey wing of SIE Jammu concluded successfully.

In this workshop, Expert Guest Resource person Dr Vijayan Kannoth, Asstt Prof, Department of Teacher Education NCERT , New Delhi interacted with 60 participants from all the DIET of Jammu Division and briefed them about each and every aspect of PINDICS ( Performance Indicators).

The workshop was Coordinated by Mr. Anwar Khan RO SIE Jammu under the guidance of Sh. K. L. Parihar FA In-charge Survey wing.

The program was organized under the able supervision of Jb. Mohd Iqbal, Principal ( Joint Director) SIE Jammu. Other Research Officers Ms Alka Sharma, Ms Nahida Anjum, Ms Ashu, Ms Tapasya, Ms Monica Sharma & Mr Rajesh Kumar also attended the workshop.

Master Trainer’s Workshop on “Child First”

Training Programme under UNICEF Project in collaboration with SIE Jammu

44 participants from various districts along with 18 Master Trainers from SSA J&K participated in this training programme under the overall supervision of Mohd Iqbal Worthy J.D. Training / Principal SIE Jammu.

The main objective of this training programme is to build the capacity of teachers on Child Centered Pedagogical Practices for Teaching Early Grades.

Students from HS Lehar stood First in the Quiz Competition. The Quiz competition was co-ordinated by Sh Charan Dass associated by Smt Anuradha Sharma and Mr Sangram Singh.

Glimpse of 2 day each District Co-ordinators' / Asstt Distt Coordinators' Orientation Workshop cum Training Programme for conducting National Achievement Test Class III & VIII.

Participants from all districts of Jammu Division attended the training programme. Various sessions regarding the conduct of NAS were taken up in depth by the concerned faculty members of SIE Jammu.
