About Planning & Management Wing

This wing is headed by a Field Advisor (preferably of commerce & Planning & Management background), one Lecture i.e. R.O. and one Statistical Officer and one Junior Statistical Assistant.

Roles & Responsibilities :-
  • To conduct studies with a view to giving policy advice to Educational Planners/administrators regarding UEE, USE and NLM etc. it covers areas as : Enrollment retention and regularity of attendance, out of school children, survey of learning of children etc implementation of CCE scheme etc.
  • To provide technical assistance to educational authorities in I School Mapping, II Micro Planning for UEE and USE.
  • It also prepares Annual Action Plan, Teacher Education Plan (TEP) of all wings for the approval from Educational Authority at appropriate time. It also prepares Annual Calendar of the institute laying down different activities which are to be undertaken during a year.
  • It also prepares Agenda for the Monthly Meeting and conducts Monthly meeting of Principals of DIETs of Jammu Division.
  • To conduct appropriate pogrammes for Headmaster, Pricnipals. SMDC members, ZEO etc at divisional level covering Educational Planning, Institutional Planning, Educational Administration, Accounting Office Procedure & Service Rules, Educational Leadership etc.
  • To apprise the efficiency of various programmes of Educational Development at Divisional Level.
  • To formulate the curriculum on Planning and Management Training Programme at Divisional Level.
  • To provide planning and management related inputs into all other programmes/ activities of the institute e.g. in Pre Service and In-service programmes for teachers training programmes.
  • Supervision and Monitoring of different training programmes conducted by DIETs under SSA and RMSA etc.
  • To provide extension services on spot academic support to the teachers while visiting the schools through direct interaction with teachers and students Hardspots/ Needs of the areas are also identified.
  • To identify the talents of young children by organizing General Science Exhibition, INSPIRE Science Exhibition, Book Fair, Symposium, Seminars, debates, Quiz Competition etc.
  • To make plan for Remedial Teaching to the students who don't come at par with peers.
  • To keep laison with all branches/wings of the institute. Provide appropriate support and co-ordination with all wings.
  • To keep book bank of all Resource Persons at Divisional Level.
  • To arrange appropriate programme for overall professional development of the teachers and teachers educators as a part of human resource development.

A FIVE DAY WORKSHOP FOR HODS/+2 PRINCIPALS OF DIETS OF JAMMU DIVISION ON THE EDUCATIONAL PLANNING AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

A 05 Days Training Programme on the Educational Planning and Financial Management for HODs/+2 Principals of DIETs of Jammu Division organised by PME Wing of SIE Jammu w.e.from 19th of March 2018 concluded on 23rd of march in which 37 number of HODs/ +2 Principals from various DIETs of Jammu Division participated.

The training programme was conducted under the able guidance & overall supervision of by Mohd Iqbal Joint Director (Trgs)/Principal SIE Jammu.

During the five days training programme various key issues like Educational Management and its essence, Stress Management, Delegation of Authority , Role & Responsibility of the Head of Institutions , Leave Rules, Pay Fixation, Civil Service Rules, Budgeting ,Treasury Transactions, OB items , Pension Cases, Codal procedures for incurring expenditure out of the Local funds, Settlement of the Audit paras contained in the AIRs , Income tax rules were taken up in depth by the internal resource persons viz. Dheeraj Jandial (CAO DSE Jammu), Nand Kishore (+2 Principal SIEJ) and external resource persons from NZATI Department viz. Monica Parihar AO, Reena CAO NZATI, Ashu Behl ,CAO NZATI; Shabina Kousar AO NZATI ; Virti AO NZATI ; Aditi Sharma AO NZATI and also Jatinder Pandita (Dy Director Audits& Inspections) Sh S.K. Raina Jt. Director (Retired); Sh Suresh Gouria (Academic Officer JKBOSE); Romesh Sharma (Lect DSEJ) ; Sh. Jagdish Raj Sharma (Principal HSS Mandal).

The valedictory function was presided over by Mohd Iqbal Joint Director (Trgs)/Principal SIE Jammu who emphasized on the thrust for adapting the managerial skills , Knowledge of Financial rules & developing leadership qualities. Further he impressed upon the participant HODs to fully utilize the knowledge gained during the training programme in the field of their jurisdiction in an effective and most efficient manner. And the participant HODs acknowledged and appreciated the training programme as most useful and beneficial.

The proceeding of the training programme were conducted by Mr Nand Kishore +2 Principal/(Co-ordinator) SIE Jammu.

FIVE DAY WORKSHOP ON FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND EDUCATIONAL PLANNING FOR NEWLY PROMOTED ZEOs OF JAMMU PROVINCE

A five day Workshop on Financial Management and Educational Planning organised by P&M Wing of SIE Jammu for newly promoted ZEOs of Jammu Province concluded today on 25th of August 2017 in which 37 ZEOs participated. The programme was inaugurated by Sh A H Fani FA SIE Jammu Incharge PME Wing SIE Jammu on 21.08.2017.

External Resource Persons invited to acquaint the participants on different financial /planning matters include Sh.K.L.Choudhary from AG Office, Smt Ashu Behl CAO, Sabina Kousar AO and Neha Thappa AO from NZATI, Sh Dheeraj Jandial CAO from Directorate of School Education Jammu, Sh Jatinder Pandita Dy Director Audit and Inspections; Sh Sodagar Sharma +2 Principal; S K Raina Retd Jt Director and Sh Suresh Kumar Gouria Academic Officer J&K BOSE.

A FIVE DAY WORKSHOP ON FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND EDUCATIONAL PLANNING ORGANISED BY P&M WING OF SIE JAMMU

A five day Workshop on Financial Management and Educational Planning organised by P&M Wing of SIE Jammu for newly promoted Headmasters of Jammu Province concluded on 27th of May 2017 in which 40 Headmasters in the 1st phase participated. The programme was inaugurated by Sh K.L.Parihar FA SIE Jammu on behalf of worthy Joint Director (Trgs)/Principal SIE Jammu on 23.05.2017.
